What happens during a trial
During the session you'll sit with a stylist to test the wedding-day hairstyle using your natural hair and any accessories you plan to wear. We evaluate hair texture, length and movement, try variations of the updo shape and check how a veil or headpiece will sit so the look photographs and moves the way you expect.
Notes from the trial become the plan for your wedding day: we record specific pin placement, tension and finish preferences so the stylist can recreate the look. If something feels off, we make changes until you approve, then take reference photos and written instructions for the team who will style you on the wedding day.
Adjustments and final decisions
During the trial you’ll weigh trade-offs like longevity versus softness: a tighter updo can hold better in Austin’s hot, humid summers, while a looser style may better suit outdoor photos at Zilker Park or South Congress. The session tests how the style behaves in movement and gives time to choose the balance that fits your wedding plans.
