How the mesh system works
New Full Mesh Integration uses a lightweight mesh base that is woven into the client’s existing hair to create an anchor for sewn wefts or other extensions. The mesh distributes weight across multiple attachment points, which helps secure pieces where natural density is low. The final fullness and direction depend on remaining hair pattern and the extension placement planned during consultation.
Because the base is intentionally lightweight and low-profile, clients in Austin’s hot, humid summers often find it more comfortable than bulkier attachment systems. The reduced bulk helps with airflow at the scalp and can make styling easier for active, outdoor-oriented lifestyles common around South Lamar and Zilker Park. However, comfort and manageability still vary with individual hair texture and scalp conditions.
What to expect during installation
Appointments begin with a mandatory consultation to assess hair density, scalp condition, and the best attachment plan from our full menu of extension methods. The studio weaves the mesh base into the natural hair, then secures wefts or extension units to that base to build a full head. The complete appointment time is 240 MINUTES, allowing for fit, blending, and styling.
Plan for a 240 MINUTES visit and consider traffic on S Lamar between Mopac and I-35 or CapMetro travel when scheduling. Evening and weekend slots are often popular with after-work clients who combine salon visits with nearby dining or trips to Barton Springs and South Congress. Because Apr–Jun are busiest for events, we recommend booking earlier in the season.
Maintenance and longevity factors
Longevity depends on activity level, styling choices, and routine follow-up care rather than a single guaranteed lifespan. Local climate — Austin’s heat and humidity — influences how often styling adjustments are needed, as do individual shampooing habits and product choices. Regular checks with your stylist let them tighten or adjust attachments and address any slipping before it affects the overall look.
Mesh integration pairs differently with other methods depending on client goals; our menu includes tape-in, K-tip, weft styles, and meshless options, so compatibility is assessed during consultation. For clients with significant thinning or hair loss, mesh is often recommended to distribute weight and create fuller coverage, but your stylist will review trade-offs and alternate approaches during planning.
