This mandatory in-person consultation is required for all new guests seeking any weft extension service. In a focused 15 MINUTES the stylist inspects hair color, density and texture to determine whether your hair is suitable for wefts and which approach—hand-tied, machine-tied, or another option—fits best.
The appointment fee is $25 and covers a professional assessment that prevents mismatched technique or unrealistic expectations. In-person evaluation helps the stylist spot factors that photos miss, such as scalp health, natural movement and how your natural color will blend with extension hair.
How we choose a method
We select a weft method by balancing your hair type, desired outcome and daily routine. For example, hand-tied weft (IBE) is sewn into beaded rows for fuller, more natural movement, while machine-tied or other weft options can suit different density or maintenance needs. Your stylist explains trade-offs and maintenance during the consult.
The consultation also draws on practical timing and lifestyle considerations: tape-in installations are faster to place but wefts offer more customization and volume. We’ll reference expected installation time and upkeep so you can decide whether a weft fits how you live, work and play in Austin.
What to bring and expect
Come prepared to discuss your hair history, recent color services and your daily routine, and bring photos showing length and texture goals. The stylist will use this information along with the hands-on assessment to recommend the best weft approach, explain next steps and confirm whether your hair is ready for extensions.
