Get answers to common questions about Classic Bleach Retouch.
Most clients return every 4 to 8 weeks depending on growth rate, porosity, and desired brightness. Your stylist will recommend a personalized schedule to maintain tone without over-processing, balancing upkeep with hair health.
When applied only to new growth by a trained stylist, Classic Bleach Retouch limits exposure of already-lightened hair and reduces cumulative damage. We assess hair health first and may recommend bond-building treatments or adjusted spacing.
Yesātoner or a gloss is commonly added to neutralize brassiness and perfect tone after lifting roots. Your stylist will choose the right formulation to blend retouched roots with existing color for a seamless finish.
Appointments generally take 45 to 90 minutes depending on regrowth amount, hair length, and whether toner or bond treatments are added. Shorter regrowth areas proceed faster; more blending increases time.
We recommend a consultation if youāre new to the salon, have prior chemical services, or specific hair concerns. Consultations let stylists review history, assess porosity, and plan safe, effective retouching and aftercare.
Use sulfate-free shampoo, incorporate purple shampoo as advised, and schedule regular deep conditioning or bond-repair treatments. Limit heat styling, protect from sun and chlorine, and follow stylist recommendations for touch-up timing.
